My Journey

Hi my name is Donna! I am new to blogging so please bare with me. Here is a little about myself, I am 53 years old, for the first 47 years of my life I lived In Pennsylvania. My husband and I moved to Bradenton, FL 6 years ago when my youngest daughter came here for college and my husband got a job in Tampa.

Before we moved I was very depressed to the point that I didn’t care if I lived or not. I had back issues and nothing made me happy. I hated having my picture taken and a low self-esteem. Don’t get me wrong my life was not bad per say, I had friends and family in PA that we did almost everything with. We had a lot of good times but I just couldn’t shake that feeling of depression at the end of the day. It didn’t matter what I did, the fact of the matter was I was not happy. I hated the snow and the cold and those long winter months really took a toll on me emotionally. I have always wanted to live in a warm climate so moving to Florida was just the change I needed.

Once we moved to sunny southwest Florida my life changed a bit. I was happier overall and was feeling better about my life. My back didn’t seem to hurt as bad as it did in the colder weather and as for the depression I could feel that weight lifting little by little. All just because the sun was shining every day of the week every thing seemed better. It really is amazing how much the weather can effect the way you feel everyday and I could really tell the difference in just the first couple of days. I started wanting my life to be better and the next logical step was my physical health.

When my daughter and now son-in-law decided to get married they started on a 21 day workout plan. I watched what they were doing but in my mind and my way of thinking at that time was thats you should not workout everyday of the week. You need to only workout 3 days a week and rest. Plus watching some of the moves that they were doing I thought, this old lady sure could not do them. Then she started a program that was 80 days and I thought well I want to look good for their wedding to so I bit the bullet and started working out with her. I told her that I was doing it for her so she didn’t have to do it alone, and every time she would tell me that cannot be your reason. Then I started feeling better and could see results in the mirror, on the scale, and in my cloths. I lost about 15 pounds before her wedding and that felt great. But it was November and family and friends were here and the holidays were coming so I stopped working out for 2 months and I could feel my body changing back to the way it was before I started exercising. Though I didn’t gain all the weight back I could see the weight coming back. I could tell in my cloths and in the mirror and I really didn’t like that. So In January of 2019 I jumped back into the home workouts.

I started with a 20 min 6 week program and soon I saw some really good results, well then I was totally hooked. I got a free coach with that program who helped keep accountable with my workouts and motived. Then I started the 21 day program that my daughter was doing a year ago that I thought I could not do the moves and I finished that program and the extreme version also.

So I have been on this health journey for a year now and have to say it has been one of the best things I could have done for me and my family. I show up everyday for me and it feels great! There are somedays that I really do not want to do a workout but then I think how good it makes me feel when I am done so I totally push play.

I know that life happens and there are days and times when I will not be able to push play but as long as I have a team of great people and my family who support me I feel I can stay on this journey and I will get to my goal one day.

So we are in Day 3 week 2 Cardio Blend wow some of those moves were killers lol 😂 this workout is awesome!!!

Ryan is still sick and it’s just been Stevie and I. I am very proud of Stevie for sticking with me but feel bad for Ryan feel better soon Ry.

What a wonderful way of thinking!!

I hear this all the time,

“I’m not a salesperson.”

Hiiiii. 🙋🏼 Me either. I share what I love and what works for me not because I have to, or some ceo is breathing down my neck to hit the numbers, because I WANT TO.

I started sharing because I knew my friends and family would love it too- <AND THEY DO>

1. You post your delicious meal from a brand new restaurant… your friends go to try it.

✅ SOLD

2. You rock your team’s hoodie and the DMs roll in where did it come from? Called to Create duh. 💥

✅SOLD

The only difference is you don’t get paid for those referrals.

Called to Create did.

The restaurant did.

I’m here to tell you being a Health Coach is no different. I share daily about my health and fitness journey •good and bad• and inspire others to jump on board and start theirs!

Soooo my question to you is, what are you waiting for?

It costs less than what most probably spend on shoes or new bag🤷

A little more about my background, My daughter Ryan was getting married and she wanted to lose some weight for her wedding, she was starting to do a 21 day workout program and I was like you are not suppose to workout everyday. She said that is program was designed for that. So I started watching her workout and thought no way can I do those moves not even the modified moves, not at my age. When she started this 80 day program with weights I told her I would do this one with her because I wanted to lose some weight for her wedding also.

Well we were doing this program everyday and I would tell her that I was doing it to help her stay accountable, but it turns out we were holding each other accountable and we did lose weight and we looked good for her wedding. That was in the summer of 2018 she got married November of 2018 and we stopped working out because of the holidays and what knot. Then in January of 2019 I decided that I wanted back in so I started a program that used a step and was about 20 mins long. That one kicked my butt but I loved it and have been working out almost everyday since. I am now 53 years old and in the best shape I have been in since High School. Am I where I want to me number wise on the scale?? No, but I will get there it takes time, I am trying hard on a nutrition plan that seems to work and I am doing an new Low impact High intensity workout program that I just love and can’t wait to see my results.

I had a coach helping me out and I still check in with her everyday she is my rock, so I decided that I wanted to help people get on their health and fitness journey. So that is why I became a fitness coach. I want too give back like my coach as for me.

My daughters are doing the program with me, I even have my husband doing a different program but he has shown up everyday and he is feeling better too. I would love to help you on your health and fitness journey, So if this sounds like something you might be willing to try why don’t you contact me and we can talk about what might work for you.
